Concerned for my family, my wife, my children, if their car is stopped, if the policeman is prejudiced, draws his gun…Black or brown, we know what it is to fear authority, be treated unfairly, unequally . . .
“Believe Me” – Trump Poems Vol. 1

It has been more than three years now since Donald Trump surprised the world with his iconoclastic* ascent to become the most powerful man in the world: President of the United States of America. His style of action pleases his ‘base’ and horrifies the majority of a country that had been the leader of the Free World. Priorities have been re-organized, often with dysfunction and intrigue. These 41 Trump Poems track the journey of the controversial figure who willed himself into office, amidst a political atmosphere that we have never seen before, in a most dramatic dangerous time…
“Believe Me” is what Donald Trump often says after he makes a ‘false claim’ – which the Washington Post states has happened over 20,000 times during his Presidency, thus far . . . Volume One of Trump Poems starts with this titled poem, and 40 more poems follow, chronicling Trump and his “Best” cast of characters’ first 3 years, running our USA. Cartoons and pearls of information add to the flow of the book, giving insight into many of the poems. If you are concerned about our country and Mr. Trump’s impulsive tweet-riddled Presidency, this book may voice your cares and emotions. Various other poems included deal with, or relate to: Invincibility, Integrity On A Bender, Lauding President Andrew Jackson [#7 POTUS], Envisioning Misogyny, Pathological Lying, Amassing considerable amounts of Portable Black Holes, being Exiled To Siberia, Putin Reaping The Booty, a comparison of Trump and Nixon, Donald Babbling About War Recklessly, Black NFL Player (followed by the text of a tweet from Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots), Purging State Attorneys (haiku), ending with the perplexing question/poem: Why Ignore Russian Cyber-Infiltration Of Our Nation? More Guns
More Guns
More guns
More high school kids
murdered
scarred forever
inside their disbelieving heads
Why can’t adults
Supposedly responsible for their safety
And their innocence
Stop this senseless
Celebration-upon-celebration of death
Recurring
Horrific
That a lobby
Built on hate and fear
Can eliminate background checks
Which the NRA once favored
In olden polls
When the bullet was sacred
For defense
Versus a malignant government
Stripping us of our freedom
As it had in the colonial past
But now it seems
That we have a world gone mad
In which killers fester
Dragging their guns to school
As if life’s just another
Violent video game
Starring them
Prominent for a minute
Upon the popular viral
Tragic cyberstage
